Silk Flowers

Although silk flowers don’t smell as good as real, fresh flowers, there are many positives to purchasing them instead of real flowers. Silk flowers are some of the most realistic looking artificial flowers. So they will portray almost the same level of beauty in decoration.

Real, fresh flowers are beautiful, however they are also expensive, require a fair amount of maintenance, and will only last about a week. Silk flowers, on the other hand, closely mimic the look of fresh flowers, are less expensive, require no maintenance and will never wilt or dry up. For this reason, they are often used for decoration around the house or at special events.

The down side to using silk flowers is that they don’t posses the same smell and soft feel as fresh flowers. Because of this they are rarely used in bouquets, gift arrangements, or given singularly. Overall, the choice between silk or fresh should depend on what you are using them for and you’re budget.
