Flower Shop

A flower shop carries a large assortment of beautiful, freshly cut flowers. Sometimes the flowers will be displayed outside, but usually they are kept inside in a variety of containers filled with water. The more delicate flowers are often kept in a refrigerator to prolong their life.

Most shops will have a variety of assortments, bouquets and single flowers to create your own arrangement, or buy singularly. A flower shop refrigerator is usually very large with glass doors, so customer can easily see the options they have to choose from. Often the refrigerator will be placed more toward the front of the store, as the flowers that need refrigeration are often the most stunning.

Virtually every flower shop will have a back room or area where florists can create displays and arrangements for other customers with out making the front area cluttered and messy. They will also usually keep a back stock of flowers, so they can quickly replace the flowers that are sold.

Floral shops offer the best variety, the freshest flowers, and usually the best arrangements, but they aren’t the only place to buy flowers. Cut flowers are sold in almost every supermarket and gas station. They are less expensive, but they also offer a limited selection and are rarely as fresh as the flowers you will find in a flower shop.
